My mothers house has an alarm that will call their mobile when it alarms. she was planning on getting fibre broadband but she was told that the house alarm willl no longer phone her mobile if the alarm goes off.

    Any solutions?

Most of the fiber need a router that you can plug your home phone into.
If you can get a cable from the alarm control panel to here then you can connect this line to the back of the router along with the phone using a splitter, this is if she is getting voice calls and your standard analog phone works it this point.
Other than they you could go down the GSM route.
