    Hi,

We will be buying a house directly from the owner, no auctioneer will be involved.

Any advice on the next few steps would be much appreciated.

    Engineers report will be next.
We also have our mortgage approval in place and both us and the owner have our solicitors selected.

What is the sequence of steps that we need to follow now?

    Thanks very much

Pay the booking deposit to their solicitor. The Solicitors will then take over the process. An auctioneer doesn't really do anything other than list the property for sale and organise viewings.

Follow your solicitors advice .... do everything through them - we have just had a sale fall through and it was a bit of a nightmare getting our deposit back.

From a buyers perspective it was awful not having the estate agent as the go between
