    Hello,

Looking to get a van / commercial with electric power engine.
I know I can have a normal electric jeep and convert it two seats, remove the back seats and so on..

Looked around and found only the Nissan eNV200,with 40kw battery pack.
Spoke to my local Nissan dealer and looking to see if they can get me one in couple months time.

Until then, any one have a eVan, how is it operating it daily?
I guess the Nissan has same framework as the Leaf !?

    Thanks

The eNV200 (the new one) is essentially the older leaf with the bigger battery shoved in. It even has the older less powerful motor.
It has a slightly better cooling system than the leaf so should have less degradation after multiple fast charges.

Other than the Kangoo the env200 is really the only game in town.

There's a Kangoo Maxivan ZE on adverts for just €4k, battery owned. Bargain.

No fast charging though, in fact I think they are limited to just 16a single phase 3.3kW.

Yep range about 80-90km and then it's charging at 3.3kW overnight, I'm afraid. Would suit as a local delivery van only. Bit of an issue getting it from Cork to Dublin where it is probably going to end up :p

I don’t even think it would get 80km.
We have one in work too.

Today the best option remain Nissan.
I'll need to use as an advertising / signing as well.

Found this video here, looks promissing as size and look but range of 100ish disapointing !

Potentially looking at the new Env200 myself.. Looks the best at the moment. Anybody know when they are available in Ireland?

We’ve got some Nissan nv200 with a range of 220km, last years one only had 120km. Staff have been tracked over the past year and people who stay under 200km daily will get them

    We’ve got 2 out of 5 , with 70 more coming in Q2

Both are extremely optimistic numbers :D

I guess if used as a Dublin city van you could come close enough. But hit the motorway and you can halve those ranges...

They won’t be used on the motorway. They’ll be based in the Dublin area. The drivers were selected after reviewing the fleet management system.

Nissan Windsor local garage confirmed that eNV200 with 40Kw battery pack, new design, will be in their showroom before June 2019.
Combined with AIB new leasing / hiring commercial programme,i expect they will push it for sale.

Im on their list for a drive, first van to arrive.

    Enjoy it.

They need to focus on higher charging power, being limiting to 50 Kw is so 2011.......

Looks to have gone up to €6.3k, not such a bargain any longer. Were they sold battery inclusive at some point?

No I don't think so. But they were sold battery inclusive to some bigger public service customers. That's where the seller bought his from.

New asking price is very optimistic, his location doesn't help either. He had a serious buyer offering very close to his asking price. Not sure why he didn't accept the offer.

5,500e now.. Got my letter during the week my ICE is paid off so looking around for an EV van.. Still undecided whether to wait another year and enjoy the non 320e a month car repayments and wait until more EV Van options come on the market!

    @Ronan

Has anyone a price for the new Nissan van please even a ball park figure would do !

    @jerry
Local dealer Nissan said that they are waiting for prices from Nissan Ireland.
Not sure, eventhey didnt throwed a guess...
Call back in May / June this year.

I think the 24KW was around €25k so i can assume the 40kw will be around €30ish !?

Main issue here is how is going to upgrade after 5 years if is a E_van !?Value...hmm.
Also, after many years can you write off the company books ?
Capital depreciation, need to chat with accountant.

Easily getting dragged on the side of a Outlander PHEV,maybe a 2016 model... stands nice for a commercial...

Companies can write off approved EVs in year 1 under the accelerated capital allowance scheme.

€30k ex VAT is crazy money for a small van imho

A small diesel van costs not much more than half that

Stay away from vans...you dont need them, leave the topic clear please... ;)
Even Nissan doesnt have them on the current month price list.

I repeat myself, watch my fingers typing on the keyboard...i guessed is that price.
If you feel the price is crazy then my asumption is even worse....crazy.

Is the €30k ex VAT before or after the SEAI commercial EV grant? And is a range of 220km a bit low for a 40kw battery or is it par for the course?

Are Tesla planning on making one of these ?
