Foreign TV Stations

    Does anyone know if you can get foreign TV Stations from other countries besides the UK, I'm mainly wandering about these countries:
    Canada
    America (West Coast)
    Japan
    France
    Spain
    Portugal
    Germany
    Netherlands
    Australia
    Italy
    Greece
    Austria
    Belgium
    Poland
    Lithuania
    Russia

    I would say this is what you need for them countries :

    1.1m Dish

    France
    Spain
    Portugal
    Germany
    Netherlands
    Italy
    Greece
    Austria
    Belgium
    Poland

    Larger dish

    Lithuania
    Russia

    Unachievable / IPTV

    Canada
    America (West Coast)
    Japan
    Australia

    NHK from Japan in English is available easily with a Sky dish.

    You can only get channels from satellites that are above the horizon.
    You can only get channels if you're pointing at them, but you can use multiple LNB's on one dish or a movable dish too.
    You can only get pay channels if you pay for them.

    Most satellite dishes here point at 28.2°E for UK. Freesat is free.

    19.8°E has German channels
    13.0°E has Italian channels, Tivusat is the Free To View system
    9.0°E has Irish channels but you need a Ka LNB and a dish without holes.

    It's on a different band so the wavelength is shorter by half.

    Just means you shouldn't use a SKY dish.


    Long term we may see more spot beams like this , but for now let's enjoy the foreign overspills.
