They are fine cars (I have 16 grand picasso). Spacious, economical, refined and well specced if you don't buy the lowest spec.

I wouldn't buy the one you listed. It is lowest spec and high mileage.

aim for exclusive spec at least

something like that maybe : 2014-Citroen-C4-Picasso-EXCL-AIRDREAM-SAT-NAV-REVERSE-CAMERA-FSH-236082880

If you buy one, make sure recalls are done in dealer. 2014 was the first year of this model and there were couple of them.

Thanks Kerten, I suppose we could go up a few more grand but we'd be robbing Peter to pay Paul but don't mind that if we get the right car. Complete greenhorn here but how can I tell a higher spec car over a basic one, is it in the model name and/or the detailed description of the car and what should I look out for in the grand Picasso?

Higher specs around that years are called Exclusive and Exclusive+. VTR, VTR+ are the lower specs I guess.

Here is the brochure for UK specs : citroen picasso brochure

Is it true that the higher the spec you are going the higher the VRT you pay

Yes due to higher market value of the high spec car but those diesel picassos have very low CO2 emissions so difference shouldn't be huge.

This looks ok to me, warranty is only 3 months but the mileage is very low to expect any issues outside of it.

Also which is the best car check site to use to look into the history of the car wrt finance, write off, stolen, etc?
