Dormer conversion.

    Hi all

Hope this is the right area to ask this question. We currently have a 2 story dormer bungalow. Ie the upstairs rooms have a slanted cieling. Is it possible to convert a dormer into a normal 2 story ? Would we be cheaper to just demolish the house and start over ? I presume there's all sorts of issues regarding the foundations etc never mind getting planning permission.

Or am I totally wrong and it would be feasible and reasonably priced ?

    Thanks in advance.

Best to speak to a local arch about what your needs are and whats wrong with current arrangement

Short answer, anything is possible. What’s best, needs to be teased out in person
