Never mind gasing into your loved one's eyes over dinner, this is what you want to be looking at later.... 193 sub 16 runners in 2018.

Coverage should start around 8pm roughly on the Armagh 5k twitter page, can't find a link as of yet.

Just got one unofficial result. A cru dude(a few here know him, BOK) from my neck of the woods was hoping to dip under 15:00.

    He ran 14:22.

I may be a bit out with that.......14:45??

Frightening standard. Some day lads, some day!!

It almost looked like the lead car struggled to keep up with the finishing kick.

5 lads alone from Clonliffe under 14.40 by my counting, unreal standard for one club.

At what point would these lads consider turning pro? What's pro standard for 5k?

Depends on what sponsorship deals they can get and how sufficient they can survive on running. There is people out who run 16, 18 and 22 who are whst could constitute pros these days if they have a big social media following but there are also people running well into the 13's and even low 13's who have other jobs. Yuki Kawuchi had ran 2:08 for the marathon and won Boston last year and he was an amateur when he done those, recently turned pro.

Pro doesn't really have any meaning of a certain standard of runner, just more about income really.

I love the guy shouting "Yes" as he gets in just before the clock hits 15 minutes.

You'll have to go well under 13 before anyone gives you a pair of spandex shorts to model.

Haha, sub-13 5k is more likely than sub-13 stone:)

Just seen you're on the comeback trail there, best of luck with the rehab, mind yourself! At the rate you're you're progressing and I'm going backwards, I won't have a leg to stand on in about a week!
