Heating Zones Question.

    Hey guys,

I'm having some issues with a gas boiler since install.

Well, the boiler works fine but it's showing an error code. Google is telling me it's potentially related to the thermistor.

I've a feeling the issue is related related to a Nest install.

The nest controls the heating perfectly but to heat the water I need to put it on manual. If I try turn on the hot water via the Nest thermostat or the app, the boiler powers on but doesn't heat the water.

Could it be related to heating Zones? The house was supposed to be one heat zone and one water so the Nest should work.

However, the electrician mentioned two zones after the plumber was done and before doing any wiring which I told him shouldn't be the case and it should be one zone. Is there an easy way to check how many zones the heating is set up for? Or is the best bet to contact the plumber who installed?

    Thanks in advance

Immersion hooked up and gas heating installed.

There was originally rads upstairs heated off a back boiler but back boiler was removed and rads were put in downstairs too. Everything hooked up to gas.

2 motorised valves in the hotpress. It looks like one is on a pipe just off the immersion. Not sure if that makes a difference.

There's another moterised valve near the boiler downstairs too if that makes a difference.

It looks as if you have 3 zones, downstairs, upstairs & hot water and you say that the nest can only control 2 zones.

Thanks very much for this. That's kinda what I suspected was the case.
