    ,

My most recent housemate has to move out ASAP, due to personal reasons.

I have been told by landlord I must advertise the room, this was always the job of the person moving out.

I don't mind putting up the ad, I mind paying for it, which I feel I shouldn't have to.

    So who pays??

Just use daft then, everyone uses that anyway and you'll have more takers than you know what to do with from one site.

Many people seem to advertise on various Facebook groups.

Possibly not as safe/secure as Daft or similar? I dunno.

I suppose technically it depends on the lease. If you all signed the lease as a group then the landlord is right.
But if you all signed individual leases with the landlord then the onus is on him to advertise etc.
