Just wondering, does anyone know how to actually succeed in these? Everytime I apply for a general comp I do quite well in the verbal and numerical sections only to be screwed over by the assessment.

Do you mean the situational judgement one? It's a bit of a black box really. Scraped through it when applying for my current job, did great when applying for a different one. No idea why.
