    Anyone else having wedding blues?

I had been warned that there is a come down but I was like ah sure that won't be me. I can't believe how much time I spent talking about the wedding/ planning/ looking for ideas and now its like hum..... what will I look up tonight.

I've been looking up holidays etc and I know it will pass pretty soon but I just wasn't expecting it.

I get what you mean. I'm happy with the way we timed ours, we had wedding, then honeymoon then straight into Christmas and new year so there was a fair bit of distraction in the 4-6 after the wedding so the blues didn't hit too hard.

I still want to have the day again though. And tbh I still look at wedding stuff if I'm honest. It's pretty. :p

I think that's what happened it became my biggest hobby! Strangely for the first month or so I felt relieved it was done! We had the wedding in October, honeymoon 6 weeks later, then Christmas. It was probably a bad dose of missing my 'hobby' and January!!

I have a few other hobbies and I've been meaning to improve my Spanish for a few years so maybe that can be my new mission.

Oh this is just the worst time of the year too. Can you find a “project” (forgive the Americanism) to throw yourself into? Maybe a spot of redecorating?
The excitement in the build up to the wedding is almost an addictive. Every check box ticked is another thrill. The sense of accomplishment when the grand plan is all coming together. Dealing with issues and hiccups and problems and overcoming them. Then it’s all over in a flash.
It’ll pass. Everything does. As I said, I don’t know if your into interior decorating or gardening or whatever but you might find something that needs “doing” and you can fling yourself at that!

Have you any close friends or family who are getting married and might need a hand in wedding planning? Even things like making centrepieces, invitations etc?
