I want to change the horn in my grande punto from a single horn to a dual horn.
The single one is meh and also on the way out and so I've got a spare dual trumpet here from a 159.
Swapping the two over I imagine isn't as simple as connecting the wires, would soldering be needed?

What sort of connections are the horns? They may just be spade connectors and if so, literally swap them over (have done this on previous cars). It gets tricky if one is a single spade and another is a double spade. Even trickier if they are totally different connections!

Do you know what sort of connections are on both?

Just hold an airhorn out the window and you'll be fine.

As antodeco said, it's most likely to be a simple spade connection, so easy to swap. If not just cut the wires and use one of the many simple connectors available in any motor factors to join them.

The Punto horn has a connector, whereas your new one will have seperate spade connections. Cut the connector off the existing wires, and use a pliers to crimp on two spades - you'll get them in Halfords or any motor factors.

Sound so it's essentially a very quick and straight forward job.

Not sure about the GP but the mk1 and mk2 had the horns either side of the bumper above the foglight instead of in one place

There may be connections there already just unused, worth checking?

It's just begging for hi/lo airhorns to be fitted

It's located just behind the grill I believe so it's a bumper off job.
