No comments on RTE sports website?

    Has anyone else noticed none of the stories on the RTE website are open to comments? I'm not fussed about just find it strange. Did they get in trouble? I remember the Independant shutting down their comments section stating the reason was "Irelands draconion libel laws"

    Comment sections on websites and Facebook pages being generally full to the brim with spastics might be one reason.

    Have you read some of the tripe on the BBC sports pages? It's beyond ville trollimg.

    Seriously. You're missing nothing. One of the wiser moves by RTE.

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    I'm just curious I don't comment on the RTE website. The reason I'm curious is because of what the indo wrote on their website a while back regarding their reason for shutting down the comments section.
