Ikea induction hob cracked in two spontaneously!!

    I have a two ring ikea induction hob. It was working perfectly this morning. This evening i came in, put a saucepan of water and pasta on it, after 3 minutes heard a very strange high pitched sound, then suddenly the hob cracked in two!!
    The hob is three years old so still in warranty. Not sure if i can locate the receipt!
    Has anyone similar experience? Will ikea refund me?
