Hi , I'm hoping to get a good sds cordless soon

    I'm looking at the Dewalt DCH333X2 54v

Mainly for drilling joists and exterior walls

Anyone have one or should i consider another make, thanks

Have you already got any cordless tools? It’s better to stay with the battery platform you are already using.

If not then that dewalt you listed, or else the Bosch gbh18v 26, Makita dhr263 are good alternatives.
Bosch have new sds max combi hammers which should be out in a few weeks, they’re supposed to go toe to toe with 110v corded models.

I have the Bosch 18v brushless SDS for masonry fixing,6mm

In not convinced about Bosch for the heavier cordless work

If your drilling joists to run cables through then really a 110volt angle drill is the best way. It’s the only thing I’d do without batteries.

ya but the new cordless are supposed to match the corded

i already have a hilti 110v, who wants leads and trafos

If your drilling a load of joists the amount of torque needed on auger or spade bits would surely run the battery down quickly. I’ve never used the 54 volt stuff so can’t be sure but it’s a lot of money to find out that the angle drill is better. Also the angle drill makes it easier to line up holes with each other.

I use a 22v hilti cordless. Savage piece of kit. I have it about 4 years now and drilled thousands of holes in Sid concrete and it's never missed a beat. 5.2amp batteries will let me drill about 80 - 90 6mm x 50mm holes in concrete easily.

    I have 2 36v lithium ion....

I have a 22v but really is a 18v and a impact gun hilti also.

When I was doing the electrics they were the only drills we used.

If most of it's joist then this might be worth a look
