Change clock to KM

Hi.

I'm looking at possibly getting an XC60 from the UK , 2015/2016

The speedo on the UK versions are miles only.
Is it possible to change it to KM ?

A Google search doesn't give much hope.

Can it be done, without changing the entire instrument cluster ?


I'm aware that you can get it to display km/h , but that is only in a small postage stamp size in the corner .

I want the main display to be KM

Thanks..but they seem to just put a disc over the current dials.
The XC60 is digital.

And that company doesn't have an email address...

Does it have a heads up display unit? Have a 5008 with speedo in miles but can display km's on heads up.

Haven't bought the car yet.
It's for wifey.. I can manage with mph, but she once drove a 1L polo thru a 60km zone at close to 100km/h cos she was looking at the revs counter

Converting it to KMPH is the least of your problems so if shes not looking at the right gauge

That'll be her problem.

She is looking at the gauges.. just not the right ones.

It is possible to change the MPH clocks to KMh on the XC60 digital dash, but it's going to cost you.

I asked about it when the wife's 2014 XC60 went in for service, to the Volvo dealership that's part of the group I work for - they get charged by Volvo for the update on the Software. Around €600 inc. VAT I seem to remember.

You can change the instant speed display in the bottom corner of the display between Km/h and MPH, and I think you can have the total mileage displayed in either KM or Miles, but you can't change the units in the speedo dial through the on board computer.

Seems like it's not a simple case of hooking it up to VIDA/DICE and changing the units either.
