    Original, I know!

Looking for recommendations for accommodation in Amsterdam, heading for two nights in June. Budget would be about €150pp, hotel or a decent hostel, as close to city centre as possible.

    Thanks

For a stag? If you could all get into a room in a hostel that would be one option. Otherwise, the Botel by the train station is an option.

Turns out there are about 25+ but maybe a few dorms in a decent hostel. Will check a fee out. The last thing I want is to be way way out of the city centre with no bars around

We stayed in the "Winston" on a stags a few years ago.
The bits that I can remember were great.

Hostels definitely seem to be the way to go, getting much closer to city centre for cheaper than hotels. We're only there for 40 hours or so, somewhere to throw your head for a few hours a night is all that's needed

The Flying Pig Downtown is meant to be a brilliant party hostel, it might suit although I've found when browsing Hostelworld that it tends to be more expensive than average. Not all hostels will accept stags though so better to enquire before hand or read t&c's carefully. It looks like hostelworld have a group query function where they'll help you find something that suits: https://www.hostelworld.com/groups
