Hi... wife dropped a Crueset Pot as she was drying it and it has put a chipped hole in the tile. See the attached.

It's a brown ish tile ... not very visible.

But am worried that it could cut the skin if walking in bare feet.

So is there any filler that would be permanent for filling this??? Something waterproof as well for mopping floor etc.

hard to see from the pic. is it a hole or a surface chip.

i would masking tape off around it and fill it with epoxy.

It's actually a hole... the tile has chipped itself out. The hole is not thru to the cement underneath... so I still have the tile base there to work with.

    What is an epoxy???

I would be more worried about the pot!! Epoxy it and carry on.

Its kind of like filler, its a 2 part plastic. make a bit of it and fill in the hole and then sand it down and no one will ever know. Cheap simple and long lasting.

its a 2 part glue. mix part a and b together and sets rock hard. often comes in a syringe with two sections that give the right ratio.

be very carfull with it , it is messy in the wrong hands and a nightmare to clean up if you make a mess. get a tub of wonder wipes and have them on hand incase

You are basically doing the same thing as the last example in the above video, albeit on a smaller scale.
Its often done to tiles that have a swiss cheese finish to make them smooth & waterproof (e.g. in showers etc)
