Selling a car that you just bought from a garage with a warranty?

Bought a car two weeks ago from a dealer with a three month warranty. Realise now I made the wrong choice and want to sell it privately. What happens with the warranty now? Can I sell the car with the warranty receipt and if the new owner has a problem with it can they bring it back to the dealer?

It may or may not be transferrable, should be written on the reciept whether it is. Have you checked with the dealer if they will take it back for a discount?

Not written on the receipt whether its transferable or not. No haven't tried that. I would probably be better off selling myself for what the garage would offer. Hoping to get back what I paid for it

    It’s usually not transferable.

I wouldn’t even set the expectation with the buyer that there’s any comeback.

Yeah I mean I could sell it with the warranty (as in I bring it back for them if there's a problem with engine or gearbox?) but that's more hassle than it's worth. Just want to get as much as I can for it.

For context, how much is the car worth and what sort of garage did you buy it from?

No, I was saying I wouldn’t mention the warranty as a selling point.

That is just a world of pain you just don't want to get involved in.
