Charged at Newlands Cross too, I didn't know they upgraded that either !

Now if they only had 2 on each site at least .......

2 fast charges today, first at newlands, 37-80% 20 odd mins just over 15 Kwh if I remember correctly and last charge in Carlow, I think from about 38-78%.

I was really bombing it today on M9 and boot down N7 , into concert hall, AC charger in use, two plug in's charging and speed limit home, 100-120 some 130 km/h.

Got back to Newlands and then to Carlow, I didn't need to charge in Carlow but wanted to try it out.

Total trip 180 Kms. probably 10 mins max would have got me up and back if I had driven a lot slower lol, it was quite cold.

Driving an i3 33 kwh Rex by the way for anyone who doesn't know, said I'd try get some use of the chargers before they start charging for the electricity later this year.

I should add that with all the driving with the boot down hard and 2 x 20 min charges the highest battery temp I saw at the end of the 2nd fast charge was 29 deg C. Yes it was cold but still that's good going, highest I ever saw the i3 battery even last Summer was about 36 deg C and at that it drops quick enough probably all helped by the AC cooling.

Yep, I'm going to suck as much juice as I can now that my closest charger is 5 Km and not 50 odd Km away.

I'm not going to block a charger for someone who needs it of course.

Just charged at Frankfield in Cork and that has also been upgraded to CCS, looked at the totalizer and it has only 400 hrs up so it must have been installed in the last few weeks.
That's 3 fast chargers around Cork city now afaik.

They could do with a charger in Kilkenny, there's no ESB DC charger there at all and it's highly unlikely Barlo Nissan will upgrade their ChaDeMo only charger.

Is this charger at Nissan available 24/7? Thanks.

Yes 24x7 but you have to park outside half on the footpath but it works.

Passed by the Carlow Charger today and decided to get some juice, plugged in at 60% and only getting 22 kw due to cold battery, unfortunately I couldn’t get the hidden menu when charging to get the starting temp but when I plugged out at 85% and checked the battery temp was 12 Deg C.

It must have been pretty cold because last night the charger was sucking about 55 kw at the same charger but the battery was much warmer.
