Haven't ordered online for a bit and just looking to check if these are the main players these days for mobiles and electronic gadgets, asides from say ebay.ie?

If so, is it much of a muchness if I'm looking to buy genuine brands (Chinese) and do not want to be caught for customs tax etc?

Bargain of the year right here

I only wanted one, for my poor sick aunt, she'd love this, but people like you mean I can't get one now, and my sick Uncle, sorry, sick aunt will go without this incredible thing, at a knockdown price.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I love all the amazing original responses. That ye spent time ripping the piss instead of actually trying to help. He obviously posted in wrong place.

Anyway OP I used ecentral purely cause they post from within Europe so not liable for the taxes etc if it had come from outside EU.

Geekbuying are good apparently. Haven't used them though.

Bought the phone I am using to comment off a site called Honourbuy. Europe based so no customs.

Honorbuy is good. The places you listed are probably the best out there. HK Goldway on AliExpress have an option to send by dhl and you dont get charged extra taxes. Look for the European warehouse option on some of the other sites it will save you the customs duties.

Sorry for posting in wrong place and disappointing so many bargain-hunters! ;) I did wonder alright when posting but had come across a similar query going back a few years and so figured I was in the right place!

Anyway, thanks a mill to those who provided feedback, despite this thread being in the wrong place!!

    /End thread

Fasttech.com, maybe not always the cheapest but the tracking numbers are real and everything is tracked, negative reviews are published, they sell lots of small parts and support is real. Very good for all things vaping

    🧐IMHO, God wants us all to ENJOY many,many ice-creams , 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

You couldn't pay me to say anything positive about Gearbest. All the sites that recommend them are getting paid (and well, it would seem). They are the worst to deal with if anything goes wrong. They even have scams known to an post to try and hide returned items. They go to those depths. They spam review sites like trustpilot.

    In reply to OP,

Banggood are excellent for electronics. They are pricier than other Chinese stores, but they are very good at replacing, refunding or whatever maybe the issue.

They now offer European Priority Line shipping, so there should be no extra charges if you choose that (most Chinese stores now offer that), It's still not the quickest though, they are ironing out the kinks. Often items (usually less then €25) ordered with shipping from China can be quicker.
Joybuy (JD) is another goot site and are also the biggest retailer in China, they have a wide selection and do pretty good sales.

I find many Chinese site prices are going up though and it's definitely worth looking for any item on Amazon before buying from a Chinese site.

Saying that, more and more items on Amazon aren't shipping to Ireland..

I've been using Gearbest for over 2 years and haven't had a single issue. Products arrive about 2 weeks after they ship and never a problem with customs.

I've recommended them to a few friends over the years and some have major issues and others have none. Lack of communication seems to be the biggest issue with them.

Be thankful you haven't had an issue with them yet.

Couldnt pay me to recommend them. Biggest issues are a lot worse than lack of communication.

I bought a phone from ecentralglobal for my brother Christmas. The only problem I had was that the item took way longer than advertised to arrive.
