No mobile network in NY

    Have a Nokia, a feature phone, not a smartphone, use Vodafone pay as you go. Landed in NY yesterday, still no coverage. Assumed some partner, Verizon or whatever, would kick in by now...

    Is it old or is your SIM very old?

    2G has mostly been killed in the US meaning it likely is a paperweight over there if so.

    Thanks for that, didn't think of the network becoming obsolete.

    Phone about 6 years old.

    Sim card could be older. Have a tablet with Wi-Fi so not stuck, more curious...
