Paternity leave, paternity benefit civil service

Going on 2 weeks paternity leave for the birth of my child. I'm a civil servant so entitled to 2 weeks paid leave. Also entitlement to 240 euro a week paternity benefit for the 2 week period.

Are both of these paid together - will I get my wage plus the paternity benefit for the 2 week period?

Apologies as I'm sure this is probably posted elsewhere.

No, your employer will be the difference - eg, if weekly wage was 500€, and the leave is 240€ the, you will get 260€ from your employer. But if you get paid fortnightly or monthly, you get paid and then have it deducted at later point in time
