Replace radiator with underfloor heating possible?

    Just wondering if replacing existing radiator in our hall with underfloor heating would be a major job.

    We have timber floor in hallway (now carpeted) but as part of updating the hall we plan to tile it & I think removing rad would also be a better look.

    Are we talking stupid money for this kind of work?

    I would not think it viable for such a small area. You need to dig out enough floor for insulation + piping + screed on top. Then buy thermostatic control valve and install it on a separate circuit via MV and do the wiring. You would also need another pump to pull through the valve.
    Electric matting would be a better option if you dont mind the running cost.
