    Hi,

I have a pc up in the attic. It's fans spin and make a slight vibration...this is fine in the attic, however you can hear the vibration noise intensified in the room under neath.

I was wondering is there any good ant viibration mats that I could get to put the pc on that would help stop the vibration going down.

    Get better Noctua fans tbh.

Have done, however even slight vibration echo's louder. I also need something underneath to help

I find it highly unlikely that it's the Noctua fans tbh - what other noise makers are in that machine?

*edit*: Seeing some posts to use a car interior mat. Should be sure that whatever you buy is flame retardant.

Have you any spare kitchen floor tiles or pavers?

A trick I've used to reduce water pump noise is to run some silicone beads on the underside of a tile and set on the subfloor with some matchstick spacers around the 4 sides, I do the same to a second tile and place it on the first. When the final tile is set and cured, remove the matchstick spacers.

Effectively becomes an inertial mass damper/vibration dampener.

With a PC case with only fans causing the vibration you'll likely even get away with just one floor tile. I'm assuming the PC is a server full of HDD's so quite heavy?

Its the HDDs or pump, not the fans.

I know it's been a few days but why not just grab an old bath towel or something and fold it or something similar. Don't see why you need a specific anti vibration mat. Any old yoke should work.

Towel should work. I'd use neoprene or foam aquarium base mat.
