Pumped shower problem

Hi, bought a house back in September and we are using the bedroom with a pumped shower. Slowly but surely we have had to raise the temperature control knob on the shower to get the same temperature water each morning.

It’s almost set to hottest now, any idea what could be wrong. I’ve set the immersion to come on for an hour before I get up to see if it makes any difference but no. Water is heated with an oil boiler as well as the rads.

What's the make and model of the shower?

Can you post a photo of the shower.

It's probably a blocked filter but more likely the thermostatic cartridge needs replacing.

We had oil installed in house for the first time this year. Also have a stove with back boiler. We fitted a new pump to our shower for more pressure but the dial on the shower is always up full when showering with no difference between oil or back boiler . The heat of the shower is perfect with dial at max

Maybe I described it wrong sorry. It’s probably a power shower. As in just a on off pressure adjuster and a temp adjuster. Pump cuts in in the hot press when you turn it on.

Assuming you have piping hot water everywhere else in the house then it's most likely the thermostatic cartridge needs replacing. You will need the make of the shower if you have any chance of getting it repaired

Ok thanks. I’ll have a look and see if there’s a make or brand on it tonight. Is it a diy fix??

I hate that question. I see horrible DIY jobs. It's not too difficult. Hardest part getting the part.
Advantage with getting a plumber is he won't buy cartridge unless he's certain that's the problem
