In court tomorrow

Hello. I'm in court tomorrow for completing community service. District court. I was originally sentenced to cs for theft of petrol, which was genuinely a dumb moment of rushing. I paid the following day then was arrested months later. I was found guilty. Anyway to the community service.

Since then, I have been diagnosed as psychotic with agoraphobia which left me unable to do cs. The probation officer is bringing me to court under section 11.1 ( change of circumstances ) I have psychiatric letters etc. What is the likelihood I will do jail? I have 650 euro to appeal incase I get jail. Is 650 enough vfor a surety / recognizance? Tia.

How much did you steal? If it's your first offence I'd say you're grand. Show up with a solicitor and you'll stand a better chance.

Wouldn't be sentenced to community service if it was a genuine mistake and first offence. If tia paid the next day I can't see how the guards came looking weeks later. Fishy.

80 euro. Then paid the next day when girlfriend copped I never paid. At that point the Garda were already informed and the judge found me guilty. I had to do community service but now am back in court because of not completing community service due to mental health issues.

I have previous from 10 years ago but literally turned my life around when I stopped drinking.

Well why would I be asking if that wasn't the situation. That's exactly what happened.

It was the cashier's fault anyway.
When you were buying a packet of rolos and a can of coke he didn't say "Any petrol or diesal"?
