Today suddenly the tv went blank. There was a message saying all the channels except rte1 and kids channel were no longer available on broadcast, whatever that means. I had been getting used to radio 1 extra. Plus I was watching stuff on rte2 like Vikings. Has anyone else experienced this? If this is going to be permanent I think I'll ditch the telly altogether and stick to books which don't require a licence (yet!)

Go into to settings and re-scan all channels and setup up again. A mast may have gone down near you.

I had no saorview channels one day last week when I turned on the TV.... I rang Saorview and they were able to tell me that technicians were working on an upgrade to mast or something to that effect and that it could be out for more than a day or it could return at anytime.....it did return a few hours later...
