Peugeot 3008 v 5008

    Hi folks,

Just a query about the Peugeot 3008 v 5008.....now I know from a limited amount of research that the main difference between the two in terms of the back seat is that for the 5008 you get 3 individual seats with iso fix but not with the 3008. From checking on line I also see that there is little or no difference in the widths. If its possible to fit 3 car seats in the 5008 then surely you can do the same (all be it maybe a bit more awkwardly) with the 3008 all be it not all isofixed.

Looking into options that will fit 3 car seats one of which is a booster. Trying to avoid the need for 7 seater (not comfortable with having to have one in the 3rd seat all the time anyway) and not overly interested in MPV....mrs wants an SUV.....3008 ticks all the boxes but not sure of the most important one, ie can we get 3 car seats...

Any thoughts? Can you fit 3 car seats in the 3008? Kids ages are 6, 4.5 and 2.5 btw.....feel free to let me know how you have got around the 3 seat issue without having to get a 7 seater SUV or MPV....

    Thanks....

There’s companies that make bars that sit across the rear row and you attach the seats to that instead.

The 5008 is a bigger car for sure.

If it's any use, there's also isofix points on the front passenger seat of the 3008 (so presumably also on the 5008). Haven't had car seats in mine (3008), but three adults can fit in the back without complaint, so it's roomy enough. Maybe drop into a dealership with your car seats in tow & ask if you can try fitting them.

Even width of them is similar, you won't be able to use it evenly in 3008 due to location seatbelt attachment points. 5008 comes with three same size seats and seatbelts designed for that.

Edit: New Citroen C5 Aircross is between 3008 and 5008 sizewise and offers three same size seats in rear. I guess 7 seater is not on horizon yet.

Only problem with any new suggestions is they'll be out of budget.....found out that the Honda CR-V which has just been replaced has 3 ISO fix in back seat...anyone be able to confirm this? I assume that means 3 car seats can fit in the back of that assuming they're not too bulky.....
