    keeping it brief

bought 4 tickets for a concert 7 months before actual show was on

only option to me was to get the tickets posted as the artist is combating ticket touting etc

tickets never arrived , went on to TM website which gave me no option to talk to a rep etc

despite my efforts i didnt go to the gig

yes i could have arrived with my 3 kids and drag them around with me to the box office etc ( i hadnt told the kids about the gig )

but my contract / sale was they would be delivered to me and not for me to trapes around the phoenix park looking for the box office

after the gig , i could get through to them and they said they sent me an email regarding the tickets , but i genuinely never received this otherwise id have gone

i got all other emails , order confirmation etc and other emails from various sites so why not this one ???

do i have any grounds for a full refund ? as it was €320 out of pocket

If it wasn't so long after the purchase you could have tried for a charge back. You bought something which wasn't delivered.

see i bought the tickets 7 months before concert , so that already 210 days which beats the 120-180 days stated to complain , so i gave them every day possible for the tickets to arrive

The 180 days may not have started until the agreed delivery date past, not the payment date. That differs depending on whether it is VISA or MasterCard. Contact your bank, and be insistent.

I know hindsight is great but why didn't you contact them before the concert?

They usually say if you haven't received your tickets 3 (or 5) days before the concert to contact them. Not sure if a line in their T&Cs is enough to absolve them of any responsibility. What did they say the email said?

due to high demand of queries

id be hanging on phone and then cut off after like 15-20 mins

Did you check your spam folder? Ask TM to resend email, there may be an error in email address. €320 is a lot to loose so I’d be asking them to show the email they claim they sent.

To be fair, Ticketmaster are arseholes when trying to contact them.

Their direct line has no hold function and it's always rammed. Which means that an agent has to be available the exact instance you connect or you'll be booted off.

They said they sent you an email about the tickets, what did they say was in the email? Is it in your spam box?

In your op you said there was no way of contacting rep, the site actually outlines what to do if your tickets don’t arrive, you can submit an online request and pick up duplicates at the venue. You don’t actually have to talk to them.

What do they say was on the email? Ask to resend, it will have original details on it.

I would have thought you would have reasonable grounds for a refund on that basis. You paid for something that was not delivered to the stated address using the stated delivery mechanism. For them to refuse a refund on the basis that the tickets would be available for collection at another location without first agreeing this with you would make them at fault. Saying that they sent an email does not absolve them of their responsibility to supply the goods as agreed unless you signed up for specific terms and conditions of sale which say otherwise. That said, I'm not a legal professional, and if you were intent on pursuing this, look for advice from someone who is.

Consumer protection commission have a page relating to ticket sales here which includes a help line contact number. This would be my first port of call in your position. Best of luck with it.
