Just need a little advice. Have an NCT coming up soon - Ford Focus Ghia.
Basically for quite some time on the dash board / clock display it has displayed
"Luggage comp open" Despite checking the boot and closing and re-closing - it still displays . Interestingly, every thing is displayed when i put key in ignition but once i start driving it displays again. It obviously needs to be looked at / fixed and im not overly worried about the cause (or maybe i should?!)

but would this prevent me from doing my NCT?
    I m hoping it wont.

I think the only way it'll fail you is if it overwrites/prevents other messages like mileage or warning lights from showing up.

Well everything is blocked. If low in fuel it shows up.
Anyone have some advice on what to do.
    Dealer ?
I think its such a minor thing i's be gutted if i didnt get to sit the NCT over it.
Would it be adviseable to actually ask the NCT centre if it might be a problem for the test.
Ive never heard of such a problem RE NCT.

Unplug the bulb? It's not a fail to have the light for that missing?

Does it shows the same error on the display if somebody push the trunk? It could be just the latch adjustment problem. If that does not help, please lube the latch. WD40 should works.

If it fails it may be only a visual, unless tester says it prevents some other test.
