Have a cs 150 that’s refusing to drive this morning!
Goes about 2yards and jumps back into neutral....Anyone have an idea what the problem could be. Thanks

Thanks, Where would I locate it?

Are you getting any code showing up on the LCD display on the right hand pillar when it happens? What year is it and is it a pre-select model or power shuttle? (Exhaust up through the bonnet or up the rh cab pillar outside).

Quite likely an electrical issue possibly one of the speed sensors causing a problem, without a code though from the display on the pillar, it’s hard to tell where to start. The A12 central print under the dash (on the flip down lid under the dash) can also be a weak point for many issues as over time some of the soldered connections break on the PCB and can be hard to find (same for any of these old Steyr based tractors that came out of the St.Valentin plant in Austria).

Let us know if you have any more info that might help, can point you in the right direction then.

If you are saying it goes into gear and drives for a few seconds and then pops out of gear,it's unlikely to be a solenoid.
It sounds more like an input is tripping it out of gear. A simple arse on seat sensor to low gearbox oil to something small like that. But surely it's throwing up a code somewhere (I haven't a clue what then yokes are like) on a display.

Sounds like it's over charging. Disconnect alternator and see. Had 03 Cs130 do this to me.

By that code, it's a power shuttle version (stalk on LH side under steering wheel). Fault description is "nPSO rot. speed sensor gradient (plausibility)", basically the transmission output speed sensor that's giving the fault.

Sensor (B5 it's referred to as by ZF) is located just to the rear of the control valve on the right hand side of the transmission, if I remember correctly, it's hidden behind part of the control valve and I don't remember if it can be taken out or accessed easily or not without removing the control valve assembly (been a while since I've been under one of them).
But before you go that far, check first the connection on the sensor itself that it hasn't fallen off or there's a wire broke going into it. Had one before on one that came in from mainland Europe that the wiring entering most of the connectors on the sensors and solenoids the wiring covering had rotted and exposed the wires which were shorting out on each other. After delicate repairs, never missed a beat since. Even something as simple as unplugging it, cleaning the connection and plugging back in might resolve it.
Despite alot of exposed wiring on these models, the electrics are relatively solid on them.

Let us know what you find when you get a chance to look at it.
