    Hi all,

Apologies if resurrecting this thread is inappropriate but I figure this is the biggest group of users for the Lenovo Tablet TB-8704F and the issue I'm having may affect others so here goes.

I'm currently on Android 7.1.1 build # TB-8704F_S000037_180906_ROW so I checked Settings -> About Tablet -> System Update and the device confirmed there is an upgrade to 8.1 available (TB-8704F_S000037_180906_ROW_TO_8704F_S001011_181108_ROW) but when I click to download I immediately get an error message stating "Download failed, please try again".

I'm on an excellent WiFi connection and have tried several times over several hours including reboots and trying a different Wifi network but always get the exact same outcome, as soon as I initiate the download it instantly return the error message.

Anyone else experience this problem and find a resolution?

Checked for updates last night after seeing your post and it was there. Downloaded ok but it was incredibly slow - kept going overnight. Installed now.

Do you mean plugged in charging to a socket or via USB to a laptop?
