I have a Tissot T069417 watch, i got a new battery put into it today and the chronograph hands are spinning around really fast and i can't get them to stop.

Any ideas what to do? The "jeweller" who put the battery in didn't have a breeze!

Any effect when you press the buttons, with the crown in any position?

Maybe take the battery out and put it back in again?

I would definitely be taking the battery out. Don't leave the watch hands spinning around like that, it makes sh1te of the few gears that are in the watch.
Could be any number of things but if it was me I would be taking the battery out and making real sure that there is no dust of bits of dirt or metal on the movement that could be causing a short.

I don't have the tools to take off the back (and don't want to wreck it) i'm taking it to a shop today to get looked at. Hopefully it will be something simple

All sorted now, they reckon the battery must have been making a bad contact.

I'll keep an eye on it but looks good. Thanks for the advice everyone :)
