One owners experience of moving from Leaf to Model 3.

Not sure what thread title means?

I did a quick read through the blog. We all know the Tesla is a better car than the Leaf, but are you suggesting anyone who bought a Leaf wasted their money?

I'm confused. Its not comparing like with like.

It's so pro Tesla & anti Leaf in its comparison that it suggests "you're a Flintstone to even consider buying a Leaf"

What are you talking about? A Leaf Gen 1 new off the production line cost what? 20-30k?

You might get part of a Tesla for that, not much of it but a few parts. Why would you compare a tesla with a Leaf? it like comparing a 5 series with a Micra

Even if you read the link "Friends teased me about the “golf cart”, and it definitely didn’t exude style, but it was hella practical and I loved it, enough to lease two in a row for 5 years and swear I’d never own a gas car again."

    Even the author seemed impressed.

For all the complaining about the Leaf Gen 1, try and buy one. See how far you go. Compared to petrol/diesel cars of similar age and in similar segment the Leaf is showing itself to hold it value and is incredibly hard to buy because people are holding onto them or they are snapped up as soon as they hit the market

Anybody that uses the word "hella" should be instantly dismissed.

    Except Gwen Steffani.

    Its a cr@p comparison.
Pointless to compare two cars as equals that are so far apart in cost.

I went to Joe Duffy Bmw last week too buy my wife a 116i. I realized I was making a mistake and bought an M5.

You see the foolishness of the comparison.

Only thing wrong with the early Leaf is the tiny battery pack prone to degradation

Other than that they are reliable as hell, if you could swap that pack for a new bigger one they would be a great EV till death

    Comparing to a Tesla lol

My old Skoda is more reliable and has better build quality than those bangers

Still using crap NCA chemistry that is prone to fires while everyone else has moved on to NCM

Quality control department that is the consumer

OP, try again with a eloquently crafted first thread in this forum.
