My contract with Éir is due to expire so my price will almost double. We have fibre to the home and are happy with the service. Obviously we are not happy with the price increase and as it is near impossible to contact Éir we are thinking of switching providers. The question is . Has anyone had bad experience speed wise when moving suppliers . Speed has been consistent with Éir 105mbps download. 40mbps upload and ping 7ms.

Depending on where you are, you have lots of choices:

Out of this list here: https://fibrerollout.ie/rollout-map/where-to-buy/

These providers offer FTTH on the OpenEIR network:

    - Airwire
    - BBNet
    - Carnsore Broadband
    - Digiweb
    - Eir
    - Fastcom
    - Net1
    - Pure Telecom
    - Sky
    - Vodafone
    - Westnet

Switching should be straight forward without loss of connection, unless you're also moving a phone line and it's a bundle.
