    Hi I would love to hear from any carpenters what they are getting paid at present. I went away from it a year ago but am thinking of going back to it. Thanks

    roughly 600 paye , 900 subbing /monaghan.

    Wages in construction are supposed to be gone up. Carpenters rate now is €18.93. An hour.

    All depends where in the country are you, finishing carpenter, roofing carpenter, shuttering carpenter? Have you your own tools, van etc.

    €23.70 is the rate for all tradesmen I believe.
    Or least the carpenters, plumbers and electricians.

    Plumbers and electricians wouldn’t get out of the van for €23.70 an hour in cities. Double that for them trades. That is paye.

    This is the figure according to the union, but any job in Dublin should be paying it or close to it.
