Wireless earphones

I'm hoping this is the right place to put this.... I think its time I got into fashion and picked up a pair of wireless earphones - the in ear type ones - not the big chunky Beats headphone type things.

I've a Huawei P20 if it makes any difference as not sure if they are all universal.

Any recommendations appreciated.

these seem decent - good runtime (9hrs), hold in the ear, supports bluetooth 5 and aptx(better sound codec that most modern phones have)

some reports of failing after a few months tho

I have these ones (have them a year and no probs) - look a bit bulkier but you can still easily fit them in your pocket as the ear things are flexible rubber. great for sports as they stay put.

I would recommend the Taotronics earphones as well.

Both models being used by myself, friends & family. Great quality, easy connectivity, great standby time.
Worth every penny.

At that price i would buy two, for the odd time you failed to charge one, in case you misplace or lose one, to keep one in your bag & or in the car or indeed IF they do fail.

They have an 18 month minimum warranty as well (plus an extra 12 months depending on the registration card you receive) . So if one fails, get a replacement and in the interim use your spare!

I use them to sleep sometimes. It drowns out light ambient noise even with no music on.

While you're at it, pick up a 20,000+ MAH portable battery pack (if you don't already have one). That way you will always have power on the go. Something like an Anker or this Ravpower model:

That way you can recharge your earphones, phone, smartwatch & anything else on the go, on airplanes etc.

My only two gripes about the earphones are that:
1) On Android you cannot see the battery status on your phone until it gets to 10% charge and then you get a message.
2) It does not have a collar clip near the mic.

But those are not problems at all.

I tend to use Parcel Motel or AdressPal for those.

Shipping can be a problem due to the batteries.

Else, try an Irish retailer like mymemory.ie
