Small van recommendation please

    Budget 5-6 k

    Will be used mainly as a car,no tools or regular loads in back,don't needs car now as young lad is driving soon enough,as are younger family members,van will suit my needs better.

    The researching I've done tells me the berlingo/partner/caddy/combo are the best in range.. can any of ye give me advice on stuff that's known to go wrong,what to look when viewing etc.

    I'll be doing basic servicing myself, anything that's unbolt rebolt,have done brakes n stuff on cars.

    So,any pointers,do they hold high miles well?

    Be doing 25-30k km pa.

    Also some are advertised as +vat etc,what do I need to worry about there, could I buy a van only to find out I need to pay vat?
