I'm currently in the process of applying for a new job and have gotten through to the interview stages. If successful, how many weeks notice am I required to give my current employer?

I'm working in my current company for just over a year. The first 6 months were probationary and despite asking management on several occasions, I never received a new contract after that period?

If I'm lucky enough to get an offer, I'd plan on giving 2 - 3 weeks notice so as not to leave them on a lurch, but what is the legal requirement?

Because you have no contract, your notice period is 1 week.

Did you receive a contract when you started the new job? Most full time contracts contain a 6 month probationary period clause in them - with no need for a new contract after the 6 months. If this is the case, then the initial contract will tell you the notice period required.

If there was no initial contract, then 1 week notice as advised above
