Hi i have an off farm no buildings or meter box. It has an ESB line going through the fields. I want to strip graze and need to create a new power source for electric fence. Battery or solar not good enough.

Is it possible to get the ESB to create a power point off the ESB pole or line.

    Anyone ever have it done?
If so how long did it take to install one and how much.

Do you need it just for a fence or do you need it to run a water pump aswell

An unmetered connection is used for running electric fences in this situation.

I have a farm office and lambing shed running completely off a battery and solar. I use a gas bottle for heating and hot water. Not sure why you'd want to be paying ESB a connection fee and standing charge etc....

Solar for a fence works very well. It definitely should suffice.
