Netflix seems intent on showing only even " X Rated " material that could be shown to a convent.

Personally? I've grown up to enjoy the odd nipple. Swear word. Even exploding head. (Who didn't enjoy GOT? :P)

Now, of course, the Free To View sites are all gone (?). Seems to me it's Netflix or PPV on Amazon. Netflix is going Right down the pan. What may I expect of Amazon, eg. please?

    Thanks.

Amazon is full of boobs sex odd strange films where people with girls with boobs out wearing thongs killing zombies and some how it's at a bdsm club for swingers.

The worst is í wish I was joking about this as I did watch this film!!!.

    Guessing you didn't watch Sense8?

" Sense8 " ? I wouldn't have done. One glance at its 'contents' and I'd have moved on. Nothing what so ever there I could relate to or would be interested in.

No, I mean, seriously; If I wanted porn, or people being chopped up? Sure, the real thing's two a penny on the internet. I don't.

I'm just tired of being treated like a child; When every woman gets out of the shared bed, taking half the sheets with her. And a knife, drawn across a throat, causes a trickle of blood and the victim to slump to the ground, stone dead

I was there, when Thatcher started doing a Mengele on the video industry. Denoting " Video Nasty's " with a flick of her finger. Decades later, we've not even recovered and, here we go again.

I'd prefer to spend my pension with those who treat me like an adult. That's all :)

The girlfriend experience on Amazon had some nudity but even better wasn't a bad show. 2 seasons so far. Elvis Presleys granddaughter gets her kit of in season 1. A bit of useless trivia there for you. Amazon has tons of B movies with boobs all over the place. Stories wouldn't be up to much though.

When you say free to air sites are gone are you saying the kodi channels are no more? I had kodi for a while a few years back but the buffering drove me mad. I'd rather pay for quality reception & no buffering. Are these channels gone now?

Bill Huxstable Serial Rapist is on it. Havn't watched it but amazon seem to buy every b to z movie going.

Great for italian b movies from the 70s and 80s and video nasties.

Netflix shows do have nudity and definitely plenty of graphic violence, though some of the more nudity heavy shows wouldn't be on there for licensing reasons, it's not any sort of censorship issue.

I mean, all of Spartacus was on Netflix for a time (maybe still is), that show has more gore, schlongs, bushes, and boobs than all of HBO's output combined.

Altered Carbon is a Netflix show and it's very violent and there is tonnes of gratituous nudity in that also.

STARZ, HBO and Cinemax tend to be heavy on the violence/nudity. As far as I'm aware only STARZ material has ever really been on Netflix though I believe some of their stuff was pulled also.

I think there's been a pushback against the kind of mature content that HBO popularised. HBO have dropped adult entertainment from their network and they would seem to be reigning in the sex/violence in their prestige dramas too. Disney won't have any R-rated content on their upcoming streaming service and Apple are demanding that all the original films/tv shows on their devices be family friendly. A lot of it seems to have to do with brand image, what with corporations conglomerating into one another.

I don't think gore and tits automatically makes someone a grown up.

What is this thread even about?

I'm 38 and my idea of 'grown up' are scripts that don't feel the need to telegraph every plot point, character motivation and thought verbally. Excess tits & gore are more likely to turn me away, and not a particular indicator of being 'grown up'.

As for women getting out of bed with half the sheets wrapped around, I find women waking up with their make-up still applied & perfect more offensive / idiotic  ;)

My thanks, again, to those who actually addressed my question. Both here and in PM :)

And now, as yet another thread spirals into something more closely resembling a millennial driven circle jerk of virtue signalling, fapping itself to a hysterical crescendo, I'm off to look at something more mature :D

    Knock yeselves out, guys!

Think that’s more than enough of... whatever this was.

    Thread locked.
