I have a Nokia 5 and there's a big diagonal crack the whole length of the Screen. On one bottom corner there seems to be lots of small cracks forming and I'd say the whole entire Screen is gonna break into lots of small cracks soon.

Do people actually repair Screens these days or just buy a new Phone?! Looked it up and getting prices of €119 to repair Screen.:rolleyes::eek: Couldn't believe it! That's nearly the total Price I paid for the Handset. Am I just as well off buy a brand new Phone altogether? :(

Just get a used phone of adverts. Not worth putting a screen into.

It's not difficult to repair a screen especially when the screen comes with digitizer connected as a whole unit.

You can pick one up handily and if you know someone technically minded they could do it. Below is a item you want.

    https://www.ebay.ie/itm/For-Nokia-5-LCD-Display-Screen-Replacement-Genuine-Touch-Glass-Digitizer-Black/113310800900?hash=item1a61d99c04:g:Dr0AAOSwSlZbxM~~:rk:1:pf:0

Also buy that and bring phone and new screen with you to one of those chinese phone repair shops if you know nobody able to do it for you and they could do it in about 10-15 mins taking their time. They shouldn't charge too much since you already have the item needed for the repair.

Is there 2 layers of Glass in a Phone? When I was looking up about repairs and stuff, I saw that there was some discussions on it, and posts were asking which glass is it..

There are loads of Videos how to repair the Screen yourself but I wouldn't go near it myself.

What are Chinese Phone Repair Shops as oppose to any Phone Repair Shops. There are a couple of Repairs Shops locally, but they'd hardly sell me the slab on its own, they'd still want the guts of a hundred quid from me I'd say. Is there any physical place that would sell it to me for around 30-40 euro.... And I'd pay another bit for someone to repair it if they could then like... Ebay an option, just that it will take a few days but an option all the same if I don't get it sorted straightaway in person, will get that delivered off Ebay and see can I think of someone Phone-minded to put it on for me.

Ebay handy alright just would prefer to buy it now someplace if I could and get it put on for me.

How did the World get to be such a thieving cheating place!! Bought a Phone and still essentially have to buy a new one if it falls!! Makes no sense!!

The link I posted is someone in Ireland, Dublin to be exact. If you are in Dublin or can get there I would message the seller and see if he can do it for you. No harm in asking anyway. Also that is the last one available so be quick if you want it. It's a pretty reasonable price tbh.
