    I need to purchase a signal booster buy they seem to be very expensive.

    If i got a signal booster from say wish would it be legal in ireland??

    They're expensive because they're required to "self control" in very specific ways to stop interference and degradation of the networks. Use of the cheapo wish ones would be illegal.


    If the goal is broadband an antenna is whats needed, not a booster.

    Anyone try a Mobile repeater ? I want to get one to use my phone data because i have all you can eat data, My wifi is 50euro for 4mb and doesnt work half the time so will save me money in the long run

    For broadband you need antenna as said above
    They are cheaper and legal

    Cheapest option is probably a 4g router connected to an external aerial (e.g. https://www.wimo.com/lte-4g-antennas_e.html#60072) as mentioned above, pop your SIM into the router.

    Regarding mobile repeaters, avoid cheap Chinese imports, they are not legal and can cause network interference. The legal ones are expensive. Stelladoradus are an Irish manufacturer of these devices. You will be looking for one that covers the 800Mhz band and the 900MHz band if you require voice.
