Form 12 time to pay

Despite digging around a bit on Revenue.ie and Google I can't find a definitive answer for this

I earned about 2.2k contracting income in 2018 which is not going to be repeated in 2019; this in addition to a PAYE job. After a few hundred of medical expenses I know there's going to be about 800 to pay, albeit I think my PAYE is an overpayment to begin with - some severe payroll provider transfer issues happened.

If I do the Form 12 now do I have to pay them as soon as it is assessed or is there a time period to do so?

Once you receive the P21 should there be an underpayment then normally your tax credits in future year(s) will be reduced in order to collect the underpayment.

You may also just make a payment of the amount too if you wish
