Hi all any help with this I'd be very grateful

I have a SABâ„¢ Unix HD Triple Tuner Enigma2
Im using it for free to air satellite channels and Irish channels
The problem I'm having is it starting to freeze a lot, and I have to reboot it nearly every day, the software version is Enigma2 22 vix4 blue.
Would updating the software fix this problem and if so how can I do this.

I have the box about a year and a half, worked very well until about 3 months ago, it's still very watchable, but every so often it will just freeze and I will have to turn it on and off, this happens as well when recording or fast forward, I iv reload e2 and rebooted it still no joy,
Any help with this would be great

Do you have 7 day EPG on satellite? If you do the first thing I'd check is make sure crossepg is saving to a usb key and not internal flash. If you're using Crossepg you need a usb key.

Thanks for getting back to. Yes it has the 7 day epg. When I purchased the box it came with e2 on it and with 500GB hard drive, it was working fine up until a few months ago, I haven't did anything different or loaded any new plug in, it's just getting Glitchy

Don’t think many users were a fan of the vix image, either open atv or Hyperion are the most stable images, I’m running a very old version of Hyperion years now with zero issues

Check where crossepg is saving. You should also delete the Crossepg data from the storage as it gets huge over time, just delete the folder, it will create it again.

I've had that box it gets glitchy with some of the images over time. You'll probably need to reflash, actually you would be better to. You can use dreamboxedit to backup your channel bouquets if you have some set. Flashing doesn't touch the hard drive

No, it usually has the opposite effect, causes problems. A clean flash is always advised
