    Hi all,

I want to do Advanced Tax in June and was wondering where to study it? I know there's many options out there like DBS, accountancyschool, City Colleges, PAT so please let me know which ones you would recommend.

I've studied 2 different exams at City Colleges and I wasn't overly impressed to be honest

I did P6 with Julie Hawkins in Accountancy school as a distance student. Course was good, Julie was very enthusiastic and was always very prompt in replying to emails.

I work I pratice and had just started a new job in June after my F6 exam. It was extremely busy in work at a hetic time of the year but I managed to pass P6 and that's mainly down to Julie. Everything is broken down well, there is a good structure in place and plenty of questions to work through. There are also 3 (could have been 4) mocks as well to get you on the right track.

Best of luck with your choice.

Julie Hawkins is da schnizzle. Had her for F6 in DBS and P6 in accountancyschool.ie and she is far and away the best acca lecturer i've had, for any subject. She just cares, and really puts in the effort, and is quite funny too. She also has to write her own text book since we're so poorly served by kaplan and bpp! She will work you hard with lots of homework, revision days and mocks. To me, Julie is a guaranteed pass if you do exactly what she says, but that's the tricky bit...

Also, she keeps a cold classroom

With all I've heard about Julie Hawkins, from ACCA and CIMA students on Tax, I would push myself to do P6 (when I get there) just cos I think if you follow her lead, you'll pass!

I'd agree with the previous poster on Julie Hawkins.
