Retirement age mortgage

Is any allowance being made by banks for people who can now retire beyond 65? I am a civil servant and one of the restrictions I encountered last year was banks would only lend until I turned 65 years of age. I now have the option of retiring at 70.

Are any mortgage lenders now taking this into account?

I think Permanent TSB lend up to the age of 70.

    Hi restive,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

We can process applications with a mortgage term up to the age of 70.

    Thanks
