    Came across this a while ago. John Kelly is a professor in Weber State University and is big into hybrids/PHEVs/EVs. He does complete tear downs of various drivetrains and so on. It's quite serious, but as he says himself it's not the Disney Channel, go elsewhere if you're looking to be entertained.
