Call Quality Very Poor

I'm not able to tell if this is a problem with my phone or eir connection, but the quality of phone calls today has been very poor.  Constantly breaking up / loosing seconds of audio.  I've rang a number of different landline numbers, and the poor call quality has been the same.

This is the first time this has happened when calling from my home.

Is there an issue with call quality on the eir network at present?
